The smaller ensembles that are formed by members within the band are generally active for special events, perhaps seasonal like the German Band or the Memorial Day Parade contingent. Others can meet for events throughout the season, such as the Clarinet Choir and the Brass Quintet. On occasion, entire concerts are performed by small ensembles especially formed for the event, when the audience is entertained by a variety of trios, quartets, chamber groups, and so on.
